مقدمه: اخیراً همهگیری بیماری کرونا ویروس جدید (Covid-19) منجر به ایجاد استرس و اضطراب زیادی در سراسر جهان شده است. اکثر کشورها برای کنترل شیوع کووید-19 تصمیم به استفاده از قرنطینه گرفتهاند. در این ارتباط، مطالعه حاضر با هدف بررسی شواهد اثرات قرنطینه بر سلامت روان و ارائه راهکارهایی جهت کاهش این پیامدهای منفی انجام شد. مواد و روشها: مطالعه حاضر به شیوه مروری نقلی (Narrative Review) انجام شد. بدینمنظور از طریق جستجو در پایگاههای اطلاعاتی Sid، Google Schoolar، Medline، Sciencedirect و Pubmed، مقالات مرتبط طی سالهای 20-2003 استخراج و بررسی گردید. یافتهها: نتایج نشان دادند که اگرچه قرنطینه برای جلوگیری از شیوع گسترده بیماری ضروری میباشد؛ اما ممکن است عواقب منفی زیادی مانند استرس پس از سانحه، خشم، ترس، اضطراب و افسردگی را به دنبال داشته باشد. نتیجهگیری: قرنطینه باید براساس روشهای علمی و مدرن انجام شود. به منظور کاهش عوارض جانبی قرنطینه میتوان برخی توصیهها از قبیل مدت زمان قرنطینه، ارائه خدمات بهداشت روان، حمایت مالی، اطلاعات کافی و جلوگیری از برچسبزنی را رعایت نمود. مقامات باید در دوره قبل از قرنطینه دلایل واضح قرنطینه و اطلاعات مربوط به پروتکلها را توضیح دهند. از آنجایی که شیوه معمول زندگی در طول قرنطینه تغییر میکند، برای کاهش استرس و اضطراب، طراحی پروتکلهای مختلف برای کارکنان بیمارستان، سالمندان، والدین و کودکان ضروری میباشد.
