Investigating Social Vitality and its Influencing Factors among Women Working at Faculty of Medicine in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences

Abstract

Background and Aims: Social vitality enhances quality of life and social relations. Understanding factors affecting working women’s social vitality and their impact on productivity is crucial. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the status of social vitality among working women at the faculty of medicine in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences and the factors affecting it.
Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study conducted in 2024. The statistical population of this study included women working at faculty of medicine. The data was gathered through a standard questionnaire which was related to the state of social vitality and the factors affecting it. After collecting the data, statistical analysis such as an independent variance T-test was conducted using SPSS.
Results: The social vitality of women working at faculty of medicine in Mashhad University of medical sciences is generally at an average level. The mean and standard deviation of the vitality score among them were 67.14 and 12.98, respectively. None of the variables had a significant direct relationship with that score.
Conclusion: According to the results of this study, social and organizational plans and policies should be made considering issues such as supporting young women, increasing income levels, providing suitable job opportunities, and strengthening family and social relationships, in order to improve the happiness among women working at faculty of medicine in Mashhad University of medical sciences.
