Abstract
Introduction: A new virus from coronavirus family which is common between humans and animals was discovered in several patients with acute respiratory infection in China in December. Thishas led to extensive studies in the field of virus recognition, pathogenesis, and finding new therapeutic modalities. In this regard, the present study is a review of findings related to Coronavirus 2019.
Materials and Methods: The current review study investigated the articles indexed in Persian and Latin databases of SID, Magira, CIVILICA, ISC, Pubmed, Embase, Scopus, Scholar, science direct, World Health Organization (WHO) reports, and protocols Clinically evaluated within 2000-2020 AD. The keywords which were searched included novel coronavirus, China, Coronavirus 2019, covid 19, Coronavirus and Acute Respiratory Syndrome. Finally, 47 studies were reviewed.
Results: The present study investigated the findings related to epidemiology, disease symptoms, disease diagnosis, treatment, transmission, and prevention of coronavirus 2019. The information in this review study was extracted from articles, recently published protocols, and valid statistics.
Conclusion: There exists sufficient evidence that this virus can be easily transmitted to others and causes deadly diseases. Accordingly, it is considered a serious global threat and all necessary precautions should be taken in the event of any suspected case. Experiences from Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS)and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) highlight the importance of rapidly finding the source for 2019-nCoV in order to stem the ongoing outbreak
